Following two collections of short fiction, her first novel Call of the Undertow (Freight Books) was published in October 2013 – a ‘haunting tale of motherhood, guilt, myth and redemption set on the rugged coast of Caithness at Scotland’s furthest edge’. In May 2014 Doubling Back – Ten paths trodden in memory was released, a non-fiction book in which she follows in the footsteps of others.

Linda tutors writing workshops for all ages at home and overseas and is currently Writer in Residence for Edinburgh’s Sick Kids’ Hospital. She lives in Highland Perthshire.

I really enjoyed the event on Friday, and I am glad the audience did too.  It‘s been an absolute pleasure. It went really well, with a very warm audience - laughter from the start put me immediately at ease.

Off to Canada in the morning with Mark Billingham. Hope they‘re as appreciative as in Blairgowrie.
