Judge Impressed with Beautiful Bookmarks

29th Sep 2015

Local Author, David MacPhail had a difficult task ahead of him on Saturday when he sat down to judge the winners of BOOKMARK's 'Design a Bookmark' competition. The ten best entries from each school had already been selected and it was now David's challenge to find an overall winner from each of the three schools which submitted entries: Kirkmichael, Rattray and St Stephen’s Primaries.

He spent a lot of time deliberating over his choices. 'They're all so deserving of a prize,' he said. But, eventually, he selected three outstanding entries. These pupils will be contacted and invited to attend David's session 'The Nicest Viking' in St Catherine's Centre. Blairgowrie this Saturday at 3.15. At the end of the session, David will hand out the prizes of a book of their choice, signed by the author.

All the bookmark entries will be on display during the festival weekend.

A very big thank you to BOOKMARK volunteer, Kay Seal, for organising the competition. Thanks also to The Blairgowrie Advertiser for their contribution to this event.
