Book at Bedtime features James Robertson's latest novel

23rd Jun 2013

Starting today on BBC4 at 10.45 pm, Book at Bedtime will be featuring The Professor of Truth, written and abridged by James Robertson and read by Peter Firth.

The Professor of Truth is loosely based on the events of the Lockerbie bombing.

Twenty-one years after the loss of his wife and daughter when a plane is blown up over Scotland, university lecturer Alan Tealing is still trapped in his grief and sense of injustice, convinced that the man who was convicted of the atrocity was not responsible. When a terminally ill CIA officer arrives on his doorstep with information about a key witness at the trial, a fateful sequence of events is triggered as Tealing sets off on a quest to uncover the truth.

James will be reading from The Professor of Truth for BOOKMARK on 19th October and discussing its key themes with Fiona Armstrong.

It was fabulous to hear Janice Galloway read from her book Jellyfish. A great evening.
