Ambrose Parry is the penname for two authors: the best-selling crime novelist Chris Brookmyre and Dr Marisa Haetzman, a consultant anaesthetist of over 20 years’ experience. The couple teamed up to write their series of historical crime thrillers, featuring Dr Raven and Sally Fisher. Their 4 books are set in mid nineteenth century Edinburgh: a city enlightened by Dr Simpson’s new medical advances but darkened by body snatchers.
