A Welcome from Provost Dennis Melloy, official opening of BOOKMARK 2021
Billy - the well-known broadcaster and historian, writer of the TV series Scots: The Mither Tongue, presents his book on the influence of Scots abroad. From Norway to Peru, Charleston to China, with clips from his television programmes, Billy will entertain us with his history of how so many Scots, be they merchants or missionaries, professors or pioneers, made their mark on the world at large throughout the centuries.
This event will be Chaired by Lesley Riddoch, a well-known, award-winning broadcaster, journalist, author, cyclist, land reform campaigner & lover of all things Nordic.
