Flora Johnston

The importance of women in world events dominated by men is the key to Flora’s novels The Paris Peacemakers (another one of Book of the Year 2025 shortlisted titles) and her new book The Endeavour of Elsie Mackay. Her books provide an exceptional insight into a world devasted by WW1 engaging her readers with resilient, and humorous women and empathetic men damaged by what they have witnessed.
