John Purser

John Purser is well known as a composer, writer, broadcaster and musicologist.  His collection of poems There Is No Night was published in 2014 by Kennedy & Boyd Press.  His radio play Carver, won a Giles Cooper Award and a New York International Radio Festival Gold Medal in 1991, and in 1992 his book Scotland's Music won him the McVitie Scottish Writer of the Year Award.  Purser is a Researcher and Lecturer at Sabhal Mòr Ostaig, the Gaelic College on the Island of Skye.
