Rachel Joyce’s first novel, published in 2011, The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry, established her reputation as a novelist of the first rank. Described as ‘the queen of quests and pilgrimages’, Miss Benson’s Beetle not only inspired BOOKMARK to run an annual Book of the Year Award, but was its first winner. A playwright as well as an actor and writer of 6 novels, Harold Fry has now made it to the big screen, and inspired two sequels making this an unforgettable trilogy.
