Rosemary Goring
Rosemary Goring won a prize for Scottish History in her final year at St Andrews and history has continued to be of particular interest to her. She began her working life as an editor with Chambers ‘but was lured into newspapers with the promise of free novels’. Her own books include 2 novels about the aftermath of Flodden and acclaimed histories of Scotland, most recently Homecoming, which told of the Scottish years of Mary Queen of Scots.
