Night Train to Odesa
Jen describes herself as a journalist, writer and radio producer but the dangers she puts herself in to accomplish these tasks go beyond those professions’ usual remit. When Russia invaded, she knew she had to go to Ukraine to give clear-sighted reports of the conflict. Her astonishing book (one of BOOKMARK’s short-listed Books of the Year 2025) was abridged for Radio 4 and is a must-read. Chaired by Magnus Linklater (who has also visited Ukraine and last year did a parachute jump to raise funds).Early bird discount tickets for the festival are:
