Poet, essayist, nature writer, Kathleen’s poetry and non-fiction collections offer precise and profound reflections on time past and present in landscapes that endure. Her poetry, including The Tree House and The Overhaul have won prestigious national awards and her essays are found in spell-binding collections called Findings and Sightlines. Kathleen discussed Surfacing, the third in this loose trilogy, which covers a remarkable range of topics from neolothic Scottish homesteads to the tundra of Alaska; to personal considerations of family changes, to the natural world. John Glenday, another award-winning poet, chaired this event.
