This is a very welcome return to BOOKMARK for the Hunterian Poets, led by Alan Riach, Professor of Scottish Literature at the University of Glasgow. They are so-called because they write about the paintings and the objects housed by the Hunterian Gallery and Museum in Glasgow. Their work brings to life paintings by Whistler, Hunter, Fergusson and so many more; and objects ranging from dinosaur footprints to death masks. Alan was joined by a few of the poets who have contributed to these delightful collections.
The Hunterian Poems and The Hunterian Museum Poems are published by the University of Glasgow.
